Graphic Designer & Print Production Coordinator

About the role

Crown Mark is looking for an experienced Graphic Designer and Print Production Coordinator in Abu Dhabi who understands both graphic design and the technical side of printing and packaging production. The role covers the whole process, from meeting clients and understanding their needs to designing packaging, preparing physical samples, coordinating with the production team and ensuring orders are completed successfully. It is not a traditional graphic design position.

Key responsibilities

• Meet clients face-to-face, discuss product specifications, materials, printing methods and finishes, recommend packaging solutions and obtain final client approval before mass production.
• Create artwork for paper cups, paper bowls, shopping and takeaway bags, food packaging, boxes, stickers, labels, brochures and business cards, and prepare accurate dielines, cutting templates and 3D mockups.
• Prepare production-ready files with CMYK/Pantone colour management, bleed, crop marks, die-cutting lines, image resolution and paper specifications, and check artwork against factory machinery requirements.
• Work with printing, die-cutting, finishing and packaging operators, convert approved designs into production instructions, follow up on production and monitor schedules.
• Inspect printed samples for colour accuracy, finishing quality and dimensions, keep records of approved designs and samples, track revisions and help resolve quality complaints.

Required profile

• Minimum 2-3 years of graphic design experience in a printing press, packaging factory or related manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience designing paper packaging such as paper cups, bags, boxes and food packaging.
• Ability to communicate directly with clients and work with factory production teams.
• Good English; Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
• Practical knowledge of offset and digital printing, die-cutting and packaging finishing.
• Ability to create and modify packaging dielines and production-ready artwork.
• Preferred: experience in paper cup, paper bag or food packaging facilities, knowledge of double-wall cup sleeves, familiarity with printing machinery and production costs.
