Group Account Director

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Group Account Director to lead and strategically develop one of our global client accounts at WPP Production in Dubai. Reporting to the Client Services Director, you will drive business growth, oversee client relationships, and ensure delivery of high‑quality multi‑channel content.

Key responsibilities

• Lead new‑business opportunities and pitch processes, assembling senior teams and crafting proposals.
• Develop and maintain a client business development plan, identifying opportunities and required actions.
• Manage client expectations, workflows, deliverables and timelines, ensuring clear communication.
• Identify and implement improvements to existing processes for both WPP Production and the client.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, budget‑holders and agencies.
• Coordinate quarterly or semi‑annual strategic reviews to monitor objectives and resolve issues.
• Prepare and present tailored documents, presentations and reports for each client.
• Document meeting agendas and detailed contact reports following all client interactions.

Required profile

• Proven senior account leadership experience in a global marketing, advertising or media production environment.
• Strong business development track record with ability to win new work.
• Excellent client‑facing skills, capable of managing senior stakeholders and expectations.
• Strategic thinking with ability to conduct regular performance reviews and drive improvements.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication, including presentation preparation.
