GSE Mechanic

About the role

The GSE Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing aircraft ground support equipment (GSE) and associated vehicles at Ras Al Khaimah International Airport. The role ensures that all equipment operates safely and efficiently to support airport operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and servicing of light and heavy‑duty GSE, vehicles, and related equipment.
• Diagnose faults, disassemble engines, replace components, and carry out overhauls of major and minor assemblies.
• Conduct road tests and final quality inspections before releasing equipment back to service.
• Maintain accurate work logs, material withdrawal records, and service schedules.
• Respond to emergency calls and unscheduled repairs, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Coordinate with other mechanics and user departments to prioritize and complete work orders.
• Safeguard tool kits, request replacements for worn or damaged tools, and uphold housekeeping and safety standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 48 months (4 years) of hands‑on experience with GSE or vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to work shifts, handle emergency calls, and follow shop/service manuals.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
