Handyman – Maintenance Technician

About the role

Accor is looking for a versatile Handyman to join the maintenance team at Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure the resort’s facilities remain in top condition by performing a wide range of repair and upkeep tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment and installations.
• Perform general repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and related areas.
• Install and assemble fixtures, equipment and furniture as required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly, including emergency situations.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to safety regulations and local building codes.
• Manage inventory of tools and supplies, and keep accurate maintenance records.
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff and external contractors when needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in maintenance, repair or a related trade.
• Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lb and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean record.
• Good command of English; Arabic is a plus.
