Head Baker – Lead Bakery Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Head Baker to lead our bakery operations at The Cove Rotana Resort in Ras Al Khaimah. The role involves overseeing a team of bakers, creating innovative recipes, and ensuring the highest quality of baked products for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise a team of bakers, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
• Oversee production of bread, pastries, desserts and other baked goods.
• Develop and test new recipes to expand the bakery menu.
• Maintain inventory of baking supplies and coordinate timely deliveries with suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Monitor quality control to uphold standards for taste, appearance, and texture.
• Collaborate with management to achieve sales and profitability targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Head Baker or in a senior bakery role within a commercial or hospitality setting.
• In‑depth knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients and equipment.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Creativity in developing new recipes and baked goods.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
