Head Butler – Housekeeping & Laundry Manager

About the role

The Head Butler will lead daily shift operations for Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club and Laundry (if applicable) at RC RAK Al Wadi. This senior position ensures guest rooms, public areas and employee zones are impeccably clean, well‑maintained, and aligned with budgetary goals.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping shift activities, ensuring compliance with all policies, standards and procedures.
• Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and public spaces, assigning corrective actions as needed.
• Manage inventory of supplies, verify adequate stock levels, and oversee procurement for housekeeping and laundry.
• Communicate room status to the Front Desk promptly and efficiently.
• Develop and maintain an effective inspection program for all areas.
• Prepare work assignments based on room turnover and discharge lists.
• Monitor and control departmental budgets, striving to meet or exceed financial targets.
• Train new room attendants, schedule staff according to business demand, and track attendance.
• Administer property policies fairly, handle disciplinary procedures, and support employee recognition programs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field (no experience required for degree holders).
• Proven ability to lead a team, manage budgets and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff at all levels.
