Head of Brand and Story

About the role

Paires is seeking a Head of Brand and Story to shape how the company appears across every public touchpoint—from social posts and podcasts to AI‑generated answers and press coverage. Reporting directly to the co‑founders, you will own the narrative that founders and investors encounter before any direct interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain Paires' voice, positioning, and overarching story across all channels.
• Create original content: short‑form posts for LinkedIn and X, long‑form podcasts, and interview scripts.
• Build and manage a citable knowledge layer (answer pages, comparison pages, newsroom) optimized for AI search engines.
• Pitch, secure, and manage earned media placements in trade press, newsletters, and podcasts.
• Maintain a single, canonical company story on every platform and directory.
• Track and report on share‑of‑voice, AI answer presence, reach, inbound interest, and prospect mentions.

Required profile

• Proven experience owning a brand’s public story end‑to‑end with tangible results you can demonstrate.
• Deep immersion in the startup and venture ecosystem, active on LinkedIn and X within that niche.
• Hands‑on creator who writes, posts, and pitches personally, not just approves others’ work.
• Understanding of how AI answer engines select sources and ability to influence that selection.

Required skills

What we offer

• Leadership role with direct access to the founders.
• Opportunity to shape the brand of a profitable, self‑funded two‑sided platform.
• Dynamic, senior‑level environment with a flat, fast‑moving team.
