Head of Engineering - FF&E & Joinery Projects

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled engineering leader to head our FF&E and joinery projects, delivering bespoke furniture and interior fit‑out solutions for luxury hospitality, high‑end residential and premium commercial clients. Reporting to the CTO, you will bridge design, project management, procurement, manufacturing and installation teams to ensure technical excellence and on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of engineers and draftsmen, allocating resources across multiple projects.
• Establish and maintain engineering procedures, drafting standards and document control systems.
• Oversee preparation and approval of shop drawings, production drawings and 3D models, ensuring accuracy, revision control and compliance.
• Validate manufacturability and technical feasibility of designs and support value‑engineering initiatives.
• Coordinate with design, procurement and manufacturing teams, providing technical guidance on materials, finishes and fabrication methods.
• Monitor engineering KPIs, manage quality standards and resolve technical issues during production and installation.

Required profile

• 8‑10+ years of experience in joinery, furniture manufacturing or interior fit‑out engineering.
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering or drafting teams.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, material specifications and installation workflows.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 3D modelling software.
• Expertise in shop drawing production.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Advanced knowledge of Revit.
• Advanced knowledge of SolidWorks.
