Head of Equities Delta Trading

About the role

ADCB's Treasury & Investments Group is looking for a Head of Equities Delta Trading to lead and manage its Equities Delta Trading desk. The role carries full accountability for strategy, execution, risk management and performance across regional and global equity markets, using expertise in delta one products such as cash equities, equity index futures and ETFs. It also covers P&L management, compliance, execution quality and product innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic direction of the Equities Delta Trading desk, aligned with the bank's trading objectives and market expansion goals.
• Lead and optimise trade execution across delta one products, ensuring best execution and adherence to market structure.
• Monitor and manage trading exposures within approved limits, escalating breaches and recommending adjustments to protect risk integrity and compliance.
• Research macroeconomic trends, sector dynamics and liquidity flows to identify trading opportunities and inform strategy.
• Evaluate and monitor competitor offerings to keep the bank up to date on market developments and best practice.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements and governance standards across all trading activities.
• Lead quality checks and process and operations readiness for new product and service releases supporting Treasury Business Units.
• Manage change control and configuration management in line with departmental processes.
• Partner with Sales, Structuring, Risk, Compliance and Technology teams to improve execution quality, product offering and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• At least 9 years of experience in equities trading, with a strong track record in delta one strategies across cash equities, index futures and ETFs.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or a related field.
• CFA, FRM or equivalent preferred.
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
