Head of Finance

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Head of Finance to lead all accounting and finance functions across the business. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, driving budgeting processes, and ensuring compliance with UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and finance activities, including AP, AR, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for leadership.
• Ensure timely month‑end and year‑end close processes in line with IFRS and UAE regulations.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and performance analysis.
• Monitor revenue, profitability, operating expenses, cash flow, working capital and key business drivers.
• Manage cash‑flow forecasting, liquidity, banking relationships and payment processes.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, corporate tax, statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain robust financial controls, policies and procedures and coordinate annual audits.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, cost management, strategic initiatives and growth opportunities.
• Develop scalable finance processes, identify automation opportunities and improve operational efficiency.
• Support implementation and optimisation of finance systems, reporting tools and KPI dashboards.
• Lead and develop the finance team while ensuring strong financial governance and accountability.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, CA or equivalent.
• 6–10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including 2–4 years in a finance leadership role.
• Experience within Insurance, InsurTech, FinTech, Financial Services or Technology sectors.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT and UAE Corporate Tax requirements.
• Proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and financial modelling.
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis capabilities.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to provide strategic financial insights.
• Experience developing finance processes, controls and reporting systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
