Head of Procurement & Purchasing

About the role

Ground Up Construction is seeking a dynamic Head of Procurement & Purchasing to lead procurement activities across multiple large‑scale construction projects in the UAE. The role reports to senior management and is responsible for shaping procurement strategy, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and driving cost efficiencies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead procurement and purchasing operations for all ongoing projects.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budget targets.
• Source, negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate closely with engineering, commercial, finance and project teams to synchronize procurement with project schedules.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and continuously improve procurement performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of procurement and purchasing experience within major contracting or construction firms in the UAE/GCC.
• Proven track record on high‑rise towers, residential, commercial and mixed‑use developments.
• Strong knowledge of UAE/Dubai suppliers, subcontractors, construction materials and market pricing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; CIPS or PMP certification is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership and team‑management capabilities.
