Head of Recreation

About the role

The Head of Recreation will lead the strategic, operational and commercial management of all recreation and leisure facilities at Emirates Golf Club, including the Viya Padel programme across multiple venues.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, safety, presentation and customer service for all recreation facilities.
• Lead Viya Padel operations across six venues and 29 courts, driving utilisation, programming and revenue.
• Manage third‑party operators, contracts and performance reviews.
• Own recreation and padel revenue targets, budgets, forecasts and commercial strategies.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Membership, Sales and other departments to generate leads, retain members and promote programmes.
• Develop and implement long‑term recreation strategy, reporting performance to senior management.

Required profile

• Significant management experience in recreation, leisure, sports, hospitality or private‑members club environments.
• Proven ability to manage multiple facilities or venues and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience handling budgets, revenue and profitability.
• Experience working with external operators, contractors or commercial partners.
