Health, Safety & Environment Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HSE Engineer to join our growing team and support the successful execution of major Oil & Gas EPC projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in implementing and maintaining health, safety, and environmental standards across project sites, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while promoting a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, client requirements and applicable regulations through regular site inspections, audits and safety assessments.
• Conduct project risk assessments, develop Job Safety Analyses and Method Statements, and monitor risk mitigation measures.
• Lead investigations of incidents, near‑misses and safety observations, perform root‑cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
• Deliver HSE induction programmes, toolbox talks and safety awareness campaigns for employees and subcontractors.
• Assist in developing emergency response plans, organise drills and support crisis management activities.
• Monitor HSE performance indicators, prepare regular reports and recommend continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of HSE experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, petrochemical or other high‑risk industrial environments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Science or a related discipline.
• NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent HSE certification preferred.
• Professional HSE training and additional certifications considered an advantage.
