Heart of House Specialist (Steward) – Staff Cafeteria

About the role

The Heart of House Specialist (Steward) works in the staff cafeteria of a Westin hotel in Dubai Marina. You will support daily operations by ensuring clean dining ware, linens and equipment, helping the hotel maintain high hygiene standards for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize and store dining ware, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, hand‑wash stations, linen washers and dryers.
• Transport dishware and linens between kitchen, service areas and laundry.
• Follow safety procedures, report accidents or unsafe conditions, and uphold uniform and appearance standards.
• Assist other departments as needed, lifting objects up to 50 lb without assistance.

Required profile

• No high‑school diploma or GED required.
• No prior work experience or supervisory experience needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift and carry items up to 50 lb.
• Willingness to work full‑time in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Required skills

• Basic operation of commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Understanding of cleaning and sanitation standards.
