Heavy Equipment Assessor – Operator Competency Evaluation

About the role

Eram Talent is looking for experienced professionals to conduct comprehensive assessments of heavy equipment operators. The role ensures that operators meet industry safety standards and possess the required competencies for their equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct practical and theoretical assessments of heavy equipment operators.
• Ensure all assessments comply with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate records and produce detailed assessment reports.
• Provide constructive feedback to operators to enhance skills and safety practices.
• Collaborate with the training team to develop and update assessment materials.
• Support quality‑assurance and compliance audits related to operator competency.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• At least 5 years of industrial experience in a relevant role.
• Minimum 3 years experience as an instructor or teacher.
• Technical qualification or diploma in the relevant craft/subject.
• Certification in heavy equipment operation (e.g., Backhoe, Bulldozer, Forklift, Wheel loader, Cranes, Rigging).
• Knowledge of training/assessment development is an advantage.
• Previous experience in assessment or evaluation roles preferred.

Required skills

• Operation of Backhoe, Bulldozer, Forklift, Grader, Wheel loader, Skid loader, Backhoe loader, Sideboom, Telehandler, Cranes, and Rigging equipment.
• Understanding of industry safety standards and certification processes.
• Ability to develop and deliver assessment materials.
