About the role
The Heavy Goods Driver will provide efficient, reliable, and quality delivery and collection services for heavy‑goods vehicles. Working from the Rapid Access depot, the driver will transport goods to supplier and customer sites while adhering to safety legislation and company procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Operate heavy‑goods vehicles on planned routes, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Perform daily and weekly vehicle inspections and basic maintenance.
- Follow safety protocols to protect passengers, employees, and other road users.
- Adapt to irregular schedules, weather conditions, and tight delivery timelines.
Required profile
- Hold a current, clean, and valid Category 4 driving licence.
- Minimum of 4 years experience driving heavy‑goods vehicles.
- Proven ability to manoeuvre vehicles in heavy traffic and adverse weather.
- Capability to stay alert and seated for long periods while driving.
Required skills
- Working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems.
- Competence in conducting vehicle checks and performing basic maintenance tasks.
