Heavy Vehicle Driver

About the role

An employer in Ajman is hiring experienced heavy truck drivers to drive heavy trucks within the UAE and deliver goods to clients. The work involves operating trucks and trailers, managing loading and unloading, and keeping vehicles in safe working order.

Key responsibilities

• Drive heavy trucks and trailers within the UAE, delivering goods to various locations efficiently.
• Manage loading and unloading of goods safely, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logbooks of driving hours and deliveries.
• Plan efficient routes using GPS and mapping tools to reduce travel time and fuel consumption.
• Communicate with dispatchers, warehouses and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues.
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations on size, weight, route designations and parking, and adhere to company safety policies.
• Take part in ongoing training and provide professional customer service during deliveries.

Required profile

• Valid UAE heavy truck driver's licence.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a heavy truck driver in the UAE.
• Clean driving record.
• Good English speaking and writing.
• Knowledge of routes across the UAE and of UAE traffic rules and speed limits.
• Energetic and honest.
