Home-Based Science and Math Teacher (Primary)

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Science and Math Teacher to provide one‑on‑one instruction to primary‑school children in a family home environment in Dubai. The role focuses on building strong foundational skills through hands‑on experiments, real‑world problem solving, and inquiry‑based learning.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Science and Math lessons tailored to each child’s level, pace, and interests.
• Use experiments, puzzles, manipulatives, and real‑world examples to make concepts concrete.
• Cover core topics such as numeracy, arithmetic, basic algebra, geometry, physics, biology, chemistry, and earth sciences.
• Track and document progress through portfolios, notes, and regular assessments.
• Adapt teaching methods based on the child’s evolving strengths and learning gaps.
• Foster curiosity, observation, questioning, and scientific thinking.
• Maintain a calm, encouraging, and intellectually stimulating learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents about progress and challenges.

Required profile

• Degree in Education, Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching primary‑aged children in one‑on‑one or small‑group settings.
• Ability to explain complex concepts in simple, age‑appropriate language.
• Patient, observant, and skilled at identifying learning gaps early.
• Comfortable with project‑based and inquiry‑led teaching approaches.
• Fluent in English; Arabic or Spanish is a plus.
• Based in Dubai or willing to relocate.
