Homeroom Teacher – Abdulla Bin Otaiba Charter School (2026/27)

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking an outstanding Homeroom Teacher for Abdulla Bin Otaiba Charter School in Abu Dhabi for the Academic Year 2026/27. The school follows an American curriculum and aims to provide high‑quality learning opportunities in an inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver inspiring lessons that meet the American curriculum requirements and cater to the full ability range of the class.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, curriculum support staff and external specialists (speech therapists, occupational therapists, educational psychologists) to plan engaging lessons and interventions.
• Liaise with parents to support pupils’ academic progress and wellbeing.
• Assess and record student development using Target Tracker and provide feedback at parent‑teacher conferences.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policy and act as a positive role model.
• Contribute to school events, outings and run a weekly extracurricular activity each term.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education (or related field) with a PGCE or equivalent teacher qualification.
• Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience, preferably with English‑as‑a‑second‑language learners.
• Clean enhanced DBS/police check and willingness to reside in the same emirate as the school.
• Passion for whole‑child education and commitment to the school’s vision of collaboration, leadership and creativity.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Target Tracker for assessment and data recording.
• Experience using CPOMS for safeguarding and communication with parents.
