Hostess - All Day Dining

About the role

JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai is hiring a full-time hostess for its All Day Dining restaurant in Business Bay, Dubai. The role covers greeting guests, seating them and maintaining a clean, safe dining room.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests and determine the size of their party
• Seat guests by finding a clean, available table, pulling out chairs and placing a clean, current menu in front of them
• Guide guests through the dining rooms and provide assistance
• Move and arrange tables, chairs and settings, and organise seating for groups with special needs
• Ensure place settings are appropriate and that each guest has a napkin, clean silverware and other standard items
• Check menus are current, clean and plentiful, and keep work areas clean throughout the day
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety and guest wellbeing
• Follow company safety and security policies, report accidents and injuries, and complete safety training and certifications
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance, keep proprietary information confidential and protect company assets
• Answer phones with appropriate etiquette and speak clearly and professionally
• Build positive working relationships with colleagues and support the team
• Stand, sit or walk for long periods and lift objects of up to 10 pounds without assistance

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred
• No related work experience required
• No supervisory experience required
• No license or certification required
