Hostess – Food & Beverage

About the role

The Madinat Jumeirah Resort is seeking a friendly and professional Hostess to join its Food & Beverage team starting September 2026. You will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm welcome and seamless dining experience across the resort’s multiple restaurants and lounges.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, engage in friendly conversation, and make them feel welcome upon arrival.
• Manage dining reservations, coordinate special occasions such as anniversaries and birthdays, and follow the Restaurant Reservations SOP.
• Handle restaurant enquiries and bookings using the F&B Enquiry/Booking checklist, maintaining high service standards.
• Escort guests to their tables, introduce them to relevant staff, match the dining pace, and present menus promptly.
• Provide detailed information about the menu, signature dishes, chef specials, and recommend food‑and‑beverage pairings.
• Deliver personalized attention to VIP and regular guests, remembering preferences, allergies, seating choices, and privacy requirements.
• Anticipate and fulfill guest needs, including special requirements, while adhering to Heart of Jumeirah standards.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of guest information at all times.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in hospitality, tourism, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a front‑of‑house or host/hostess role within a luxury hotel or resort.
• Excellent communication skills and a polished, courteous demeanor.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest service.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using reservation management systems and checklists.
• Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including signature dishes and pairings.
