Housekeeping Attendant

About the role

The Housekeeping Attendant will ensure guest rooms and public areas are clean, orderly, and welcoming, adhering to hygiene and service standards in a hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and designated common areas.
• Make beds, replace linens, replenish towels and room supplies, and remove waste.
• Use cleaning products, tools, and equipment safely according to workplace procedures.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged items, missing supplies, and safety concerns promptly.
• Follow room assignment schedules, quality checks, infection‑control practices, and property policies.
• Respect guest privacy, protect property, and respond courteously to reasonable requests.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other departments to support timely room readiness.

Required profile

• Secondary school education or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping, hotel, cleaning, or facilities‑service experience is an advantage; willingness to learn is acceptable.
• Physically able to stand, walk, bend, lift routine supplies and work at a steady pace.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, personal cleanliness, and professional conduct.
• Respectful communication, guest‑service awareness, teamwork, and discretion with guest belongings.

Required skills

• Safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Use of cleaning tools and equipment.
