HR Generalist – Multinational, Abu Dhabi

About the role

A well-established multinational based in Abu Dhabi with a multicultural workforce and an international operational environment is looking for a hands-on HR Generalist. The role manages day-to-day HR activities for a workforce of 100+ employees, in line with local requirements and corporate standards, and coordinates with the overseas headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day HR operations and ensure compliance with UAE Labour Law and company policies
• Run the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing and screening to interviews, offers and hiring, handling several vacancies at once
• Coordinate onboarding, induction and related documentation
• Support employer branding, including university career fairs and recruitment events
• Manage practical payroll activities and keep employee records accurate and confidential
• Support employee relations and HR administration across the employee lifecycle
• Communicate regularly with the international headquarters on HR matters and reporting
• Provide HR guidance to employees and management, work independently and travel internationally when needed

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or a related field; a Western education is an advantage but not mandatory
• Strong hands-on HR Generalist experience, preferably in a multinational organization
• Proven experience supporting or managing a workforce of 100+ employees
• Strong regional recruitment experience and practical payroll experience
• Previous experience in onboarding and employer branding, and reporting to an overseas headquarters
• Excellent command of English and comfort in a multicultural environment
• No restrictions on international business travel, especially within the GCC

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of UAE Labour Law
• Awareness of GCC employment practices
• Ability to prioritize multiple HR responsibilities and work independently
