HR Manager – Build People Function from Scratch

About the role

No Competition Gaming Studio, an independent mobile game studio in Dubai, is moving from prototype to full production and seeks an HR Manager to build the people function from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Build and document HR policies, internal processes and the employee handbook
• Own the full visa and immigration process for new hires and their dependants
• Run onboarding and offboarding end to end, including contracts, clearances and final settlements
• Work closely with the accountant on monthly payroll, WPS and end‑of‑service calculations
• Keep the company compliant with UAE labour law and MOHRE requirements
• Support hiring as the team grows

Required profile

• Proven HR experience in the UAE with hands‑on knowledge of labour law and visa processing
• Track record of setting up internal processes, not just following them
• Startup or scale‑up experience is a strong plus
• Organised, discreet and comfortable working with a small, fast‑moving leadership team
• Experience in gaming, tech or creative industries is a bonus
