HR Manager – Pre‑Opening Hotel

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead people strategy for the pre‑opening of voco Sharjah, a new hotel in the heart of the city. You will shape a culture that empowers staff and delivers memorable guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the hotel’s HR strategy in line with IHG standards and UAE labour law.
• Oversee payroll, compensation, and benefits to ensure accuracy and internal equity.
• Track HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism and exit interview trends, and provide actionable insights.
• Prepare and present monthly HR reports to support business decisions.
• Manage the HR budget, office resources and operational expenses.
• Drive recruitment, onboarding, orientation and the full employee lifecycle while championing IHG’s BrandHearted culture.
• Lead performance management, coaching leaders and fostering continuous feedback.
• Develop and execute colleague engagement, recognition and wellbeing programmes.
• Plan and follow up on annual engagement surveys, implementing meaningful action plans.
• Maintain colleague facilities including cafeteria, lockers and public areas.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HR leadership within hospitality or a similar fast‑paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of UAE employment legislation and IHG HR policies.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into business recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to build an inclusive, high‑performance culture.
