HR Officer (Arabic Speaking) - Schools

About the role

Aldar Education, a family of owned and operated schools in the UAE, is looking for an Arabic-speaking HR Officer to support its growing schools. The officer provides people-related support to the school and acts as the main contact for new, current and exiting staff on all employment matters, helping the Principal implement policies and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Talent acquisition and onboarding: advertise vacancies, screen and shortlist candidates, run interviews and conduct pre-employment checks (references, police clearance).
• Manage onboarding, including induction, IT setup, staff ID cards, ADEK passes, visas and work permits, and issue offer letters and contracts.
• Performance enablement: coordinate probation, performance reviews and appraisals, track professional development and report to HQ HR.
• HR operations: health insurance, time and attendance, NOCs and other official letters, HR KPI reports, and exit procedures including full and final settlement.
• Employee relations: support the SLT with investigations and disciplinary cases, advise staff and escalate where needed.
• Maintain staff files, the organization chart and HR systems, and take part in group HR meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field; graduate-level qualification in the assigned area.
• Recognized HR qualification or professional membership (e.g. CIPD) desirable.
• At least 4 years in HR or recruitment, or 2 years in generalist HR in a service industry; school HR experience is an advantage.
• Fluent Arabic and English, written and spoken.
• Resides in the same emirate as the assigned school.

Required skills

• Sound working knowledge of UAE Labour Law.
• Experience liaising with UAE government bodies and knowledge of HAAD and immigration requirements.
• Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Oracle or another ATS for advertising and candidate tracking.
