HRIS and Operations Analyst - APAC and EMEA

About the role

Allied World is hiring an HRIS and Operations Analyst based in Dubai to support the rollout of a third-party payroll provider across designated APAC and EMEA countries. The role covers payroll implementation, data validation, testing, Workday stabilization and day-to-day operational support for regional HR teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of a third-party payroll provider: discovery, data preparation, testing, deployment and post-go-live support.
• Document requirements, decisions, dependencies, risks, issues and follow-up actions for HR, payroll, finance, IT, implementation consultants and vendors.
• Prepare, coordinate and validate payroll inputs and outputs, including employee changes, new hires, terminations, compensation, absence, time and benefits.
• Run payroll parallel testing and reconciliation, log defects and support cutover readiness under the implementation lead.
• Support Workday stabilization by investigating issues, performing initial analysis and escalating data, process, reporting, security, configuration or integration matters.
• Perform data audits and reconciliations between Workday and payroll vendor systems, and run user acceptance and regression testing.
• Document current-state workflows, identify gaps, perform root-cause analysis and recommend improvements to HR processes.
• Maintain process maps, SOPs, controls, job aids and knowledge-transfer materials, and give regional HR teams day-to-day Workday guidance.

Required profile

• 5 to 8 years of experience in HR operations, HR technology, payroll operations or a related field.
• Hands-on experience supporting Workday HCM (business processes, data, reporting, security or production support).
• Experience supporting a payroll implementation, vendor transition, payroll integration or similar HR transformation.
• Working knowledge of payroll operations and controls across multiple APAC and/or EMEA countries, and of HR disciplines such as benefits, absence, compensation, onboarding and terminations.
• Familiarity with process improvement methods such as Lean, Six Sigma, process mapping and root-cause analysis.
• Data validation, reconciliation, testing, defect tracking and issue resolution; experience with third-party providers and cross-functional teams in a global or matrixed organization.
• Relevant university degree or professional qualification in HR, business, information systems, finance or a related discipline.

Preferred background

• Experience with third-party payroll platforms or global payroll vendors.
• Exposure to Workday integrations, Enterprise Interface Builder uploads, calculated fields, reporting or security administration.
• Knowledge of regional payroll, statutory, benefits, data privacy and employment requirements across APAC and EMEA.
• Employee benefits administration and experience in a regulated industry with formal audit and control requirements.
