HSE Engineer

About the role

The HSE Engineer will support the Operations Manager in safeguarding the health, safety and environmental performance of our Abu Dhabi site. You will develop, implement and monitor HSE policies, conduct risk assessments and deliver training to ensure compliance with local and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain HSE policies, procedures and standards.
• Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses and process safety studies (e.g., HAZOP).
• Provide HSE training and awareness programmes to site personnel.
• Monitor, audit and report HSE performance against ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and other applicable regulations.
• Manage environmental monitoring, waste handling, and hazardous material controls.
• Coordinate emergency response and incident investigations.
• Prepare comprehensive HSE reports and present findings to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a site HSE specialist or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of workplace hazards, risk assessment methods and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, local UAE standards).
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and communicate technical information clearly.
