HSE Engineer

About the role

The HSE Engineer will lead health, safety and environmental initiatives across project sites, ensuring compliance with legal standards and company policies. This role involves developing HSE systems, conducting risk assessments, and fostering a strong safety culture among all personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve the HSE Management System to meet local and international regulations.
• Lead risk assessment processes, conduct Job Safety Analyses and ensure mitigation measures are in place.
• Conduct HSE audits, inspections and ensure full compliance with OSHA, OSHAD and civil defence standards.
• Oversee HSE training programmes, inductions and emergency response drills.
• Prepare accurate HSE documentation, reports and performance metrics.
• Supervise HSE Officers, manage incident investigations and liaise with regulatory authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or related field.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification and OSHAD or equivalent UAE safety certification.
• 2‑4 years of HSE management experience in construction, engineering or industrial projects.
• Proven experience in accident investigation, risk assessment and safety policy implementation.
