HSE Engineer – Talent Pool

About the role

The HSE Engineer will support the implementation of project‑specific Health, Safety and Environmental management systems for Hill International in Abu Dhabi. This position ensures compliance with corporate policies, client requirements and local regulations while fostering a strong safety culture on site.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain HSE management systems tailored to each project.
• Conduct audits, inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards.
• Review and approve contractors' HSE plans and monitor their execution.
• Oversee safety‑critical systems and ensure proper functioning.
• Investigate incidents, prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate HSE training programmes and competence assessments for staff and contractors.

Required profile

• Relevant experience as an HSE Engineer in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with UAE health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Ability to interpret corporate HSE policies and client specifications.
• Strong analytical and investigative capabilities.
