HSE Manager – Offshore Subsea Project

About the role

The HSE Manager will lead health, safety, security and environmental management for a high‑profile offshore subsea development in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the project team, you will ensure compliance with ADNOC, UAE and international standards while fostering a strong safety culture across all project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor project HSE Management Plans and ensure adequate resources.
• Lead HSE teams, act as primary liaison with ADNOC Offshore, contractors and regulators.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC HSE‑MS, UAE regulations, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and offshore safety standards.
• Conduct risk assessments (HAZID, HAZOP, SIMOPS, TRA, JSA) and approve high‑risk work permits.
• Provide HSE support during offshore construction, hook‑up, commissioning, shutdowns and marine operations.
• Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and corrective action tracking.
• Implement environmental management plans, monitor waste, emissions and spill prevention.
• Develop emergency response plans, conduct drills and ensure personnel training.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years HSE experience in oil & gas, with at least 8 years in leadership roles.
• Proven experience on ADNOC Offshore or similar major offshore EPC projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH International Diploma, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, CSP are advantageous.
