HSE Officer - ADNOC Projects & Offshore

About the role

A client is looking for an experienced HSE Engineer / HSE Officer based in Abu Dhabi with 7-10 years of UAE experience, including substantial work on ADNOC projects and offshore operations. The role covers implementing, monitoring and maintaining HSE systems so that ADNOC standards, UAE regulations and international best practice are met, while building a strong safety culture across project sites.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with ADNOC HSE requirements, UAE regulations and company safety policies, and monitor and enforce HSE standards onshore and offshore
• Carry out site inspections, audits and safety observations to find and fix unsafe conditions
• Run risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses and hazard studies, and set up and review control measures
• Implement and maintain HSE management systems in line with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
• Support offshore projects and offshore safety regulations, and oversee Permit-to-Work processes and contractor compliance
• Develop emergency response plans, run drills and evacuation exercises, and investigate incidents and near misses with root cause analysis
• Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks and safety training, and monitor contractor HSE performance

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, occupational health and safety or a related field
• 7-10 years of HSE experience in the UAE, including mandatory ADNOC project experience
• Strong knowledge of offshore HSE operations and compliance
• NEBOSH IGC (mandatory)
• IOSH certification
• OPITO-approved offshore safety certifications
• Additional HSE certifications are an advantage
