HSE Officer – EGA Approved

About the role

The HSE Officer will ensure compliance with EGA requirements, ADOSH‑SF standards and UAE HSE legislation, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment on construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to EGA HSE standards and project‑specific requirements.
• Conduct daily HSE inspections, enforce site compliance and verify Permit‑to‑Work requirements.
• Review risk assessments, method statements and other safety documentation.
• Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, awareness sessions and HSE training.
• Investigate incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Prepare weekly and monthly HSE reports and maintain records.
• Coordinate emergency drills and support preparedness activities.
• Monitor environmental compliance and identify potential risks.
• Collaborate with client, consultant, EGA, subcontractors and project management on HSE matters.
• Support internal and external HSE audits and intervene to stop unsafe work.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant HSE experience.
• Valid EGA Approved EHS Representative and Train‑the‑Trainer certifications.
• Knowledge of EGA HSE requirements, EGA Green Book, ADOSH‑SF, AD Ports/DMT standards and ITC requirements.
• Strong communication, coordination and reporting skills.
