Human Resources Advisor

About the role

Tidewater, owner and operator of one of the largest fleets of offshore support vessels, is looking for an HR Advisor to provide front-line onshore HR support to its Middle East and West Africa regions. The role covers the whole employee life cycle, from recruitment to performance management and HR projects, and is based in the Dubai office, Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end recruitment and onboarding to give a seamless candidate and new joiner experience
• Maintain accurate employment records and HR systems, including employment contracts and payroll-related documents
• Advise managers and employees on employment best practice and legal compliance
• Help develop, implement and review HR policies and procedures
• Manage leave and absence, including the employee leave app, records and occupational health referrals
• Process visa and work permit applications in full regulatory compliance
• Support the HR Manager with training and development programmes and employee relations
• Work with managers on performance management and conduct exit interviews, analysing trends and giving retention recommendations
• Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Business degree or equivalent
• Hurman HRM postgraduate qualification or equivalent, held or being worked towards
• 2-3 years of front-end HR support to operational businesses
• Right to work and reside in the UAE

Required skills

• Good understanding of employment law in the UAE or West Africa
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong administration skills
