Humanities Teacher

About the role

GEMS Winchester School Fujairah is seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher to join its diverse faculty. You will deliver engaging, student‑centred lessons and contribute to the school’s academic excellence in a vibrant, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver effective Humanities lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
• Collaborate with middle leaders, administrators and fellow teachers to improve pedagogy and student outcomes.
• Participate in team planning and quality‑assurance processes, including peer observations and action‑plan development.
• Support Section/Key Stage Leaders and Heads of Department in raising academic standards.
• Engage with parents through the Quality Assurance programme to ensure clear communication.
• Adopt UAE teaching frameworks and maintain a “good” standard of instruction.
• Mentor and coach colleagues, sharing resources and best practices.
• Take part in internal and external professional development events.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Humanities.
• UK‑trained teachers preferred and expected to act as lead practitioners.
• Strong commitment to lifelong learning and continuous professional development.
• Resilient, energetic and able to work collaboratively in a multicultural setting.
