Iconic/Interchange Stations Civil Structure Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Civil/Structure Engineer to lead the structural design and supervision of iconic and interchange metro stations in the United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will ensure that all structural aspects of transportation projects meet local regulations and international standards while supporting fast‑track construction schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on structural engineering for metro rail projects, reviewing drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Conduct site inspections to assess structural integrity, identify risks, and recommend mitigation measures.
• Monitor on‑site structural works, ensuring compliance with approved designs, specifications, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve structural issues during construction.
• Review and approve method statements, shop drawings, and material submittals related to structural works.
• Perform regular structural assessments and propose strengthening or modification solutions as needed.
• Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and correspondence on structural activities.
• Act as the technical liaison between the project team, clients, and authorities for structural queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
• 10–15 years of structural engineering experience, specifically on metro projects in the UAE.
• Proven track record of delivering structural solutions for large‑scale transportation infrastructure.
• Extensive site supervision experience with strong knowledge of construction methodologies and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
