In-House Counsel

About the role

Legaline, the UAE’s first AI‑native LegalTech platform, is looking for an In‑House Counsel to join its Dubai headquarters. You will provide legal and regulatory guidance for a marketplace that connects licensed lawyers with clients across 33 jurisdictions, helping shape the compliance framework that underpins the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on regulatory matters covering UAE federal law, the emirates, DIFC, ADGM and free‑zone regulations.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, platform terms, and contracts with lawyers and clients.
• Develop and maintain compliance frameworks for licensing, data protection and payment regulations.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to embed legal and compliance logic into the platform, including AI‑assisted drafting disclosures.
• Manage relationships with external counsel for specialized or cross‑border expertise.
• Monitor regulatory developments in legal technology and translate them into actionable guidance.
• Support corporate governance, intellectual property protection and risk management as the company scales.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with 3–6 years of experience, preferably in‑house or in platform, marketplace, fintech or professional services environments.
• Strong grounding in UAE law; familiarity with DIFC and ADGM frameworks is a plus.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
• Ability to translate complex legal questions into clear, actionable advice for a fast‑moving product team.
