In-Room Dining Order Taker

About the role

The In‑Room Dining Order Taker is the primary point of contact for guests placing room‑service orders at the Forbes Five‑Star Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre. The role ensures accurate, timely service, drives upselling to meet revenue targets, and upholds the brand’s luxury standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all in‑room dining orders via telephone, app or online platforms promptly, delivering Forbes Five‑Star service.
• Develop strong guest relationships, recognising repeat guests and their preferences to enhance loyalty.
• Know menus, daily specials and promotions in detail to advise guests on dishes, ingredients, portion sizes and beverages.
• Upsell effectively to contribute to in‑room dining revenue targets.
• Handle food allergies, dietary requirements and customer modifications with utmost care.
• Communicate orders accurately with the culinary team to ensure correct presentation and timely delivery.
• Record all transactions in the POS system accurately and ensure billing and cash handling comply with hotel guidelines.
• Maintain health, safety and hygiene standards and provide feedback to improve service.
