Inclusion Assistant – Primary School (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

The school is seeking an Inclusion Assistant to support pupils with additional learning, physical, emotional or behavioural needs. The role involves working closely with teachers and external professionals to ensure each student can fully participate in classroom activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to pupils inside and outside the classroom.
• Assist in implementing and monitoring individual education programmes (IEPs) and track progress.
• Prepare differentiated resources and materials to facilitate curriculum access.
• Promote independence by teaching clear strategies and supporting social‑communication skills.
• Maintain pupil records, monitor work, and report progress to teachers.
• Collaborate with home‑room teachers, subject teachers, speech therapists, occupational therapists and other specialists.
• Adhere to health‑and‑safety policies, school code of conduct and confidentiality guidelines.
• Attend training sessions, professional meetings and support school initiatives as required.

Required profile

• Experience or strong interest in supporting pupils with additional support needs.
• Ability to work proactively, maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures.
• Good communication skills for regular interaction with teachers, specialists and families.
