Indirect & Logistics Commodity Manager

About the role

The Indirect & Logistics Commodity Manager will lead the development and execution of category strategies for Vertiv's indirect and logistics spend of $20‑40 M. This regional role supports the Americas while collaborating with global procurement teams to standardise processes and drive cost‑effective sourcing.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead cross‑functional category teams to develop and maintain strategies for ocean, air, and parcel transportation.
• Design and implement sourcing, negotiation and contracting approaches aligned with global category strategies.
• Analyse historical spend data, conduct market research and build cost models to identify high‑value opportunities.
• Develop total landed cost and total cost of ownership models in partnership with stakeholders.
• Manage the preferred supplier programme to ensure business continuity, performance and optimal pricing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in procurement, sourcing, supply‑chain or logistics operations.
• Preferred certifications such as CPSM, CLTD, CSCP or PMP.
• Experience in sourcing, negotiating and contracting for capex, indirect and transportation services, and leading logistics cost‑reduction projects.
