Industrialization and Supplier Development Manager

About the role

The Industrialization and Supplier Development Manager will lead the technical qualification, development and industrialisation of POWERTECH’s manufacturing supply base across the UAE and international networks. This senior aerospace manufacturing role ensures supplier readiness for turbofan, micro‑jet and piston‑engine programmes, from capability assessment through to production ramp‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical capability assessments of suppliers covering machining, sheet‑metal fabrication, welding and casting.
• Conduct capacity studies, validate run‑at‑rate demonstrations and manage bottleneck analysis.
• Own supplier development plans, maturity gates, APQP execution, PFMEA, control plans and production readiness.
• Provide senior technical authority for supplier manufacturing issues, lead root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Drive technology transfer, ensure completion of tooling, gauging, CNC programs, process documentation and training before hand‑over.
• Build and lead the Industrialisation & Supplier Development team and present readiness status to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Metrology, Inspection and Product Quality functions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing or Materials Engineering.
• 10+ years of aerospace/aero‑engine manufacturing experience, including supplier development and industrialisation.
• Proven ability to build supplier development capability from the ground up.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work regularly at supplier sites.

Required skills

• Machining, turning, grinding, forming, welding, brazing, investment casting.
• APQP, PPAP/AS9145, AS9102 FAI, PFMEA, control plans, process capability, MSA.
• Knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP standards.
• CNC programming, metrology, gauging, tooling design.
• Supplier development, industrialisation, root‑cause analysis, corrective action.
