Information Security Analyst – Emiratization (Entry Level)

About the role

The Entry‑Level Information Security Analyst supports Al‑Futtaim’s cyber‑defence activities. The role focuses on QRadar SIEM administration, monitoring and investigating SOC events, and performing vulnerability assessments to protect the organisation from cyber threats.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain QRadar appliances, apply updates, patches and perform health‑checks to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor security alerts across SIEM, IDS/IPS and endpoint tools, investigate incidents, determine root cause and execute containment, eradication and recovery actions.
• Conduct vulnerability scans, support remediation efforts and keep vulnerability assessments up‑to‑date.
• Collaborate with IT, network and application teams to implement security controls and refine detection use‑cases.
• Document configurations, processes, incident findings and contribute to knowledge‑base updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1‑4 years of experience in an information security or SOC environment.
• Strong foundational knowledge of security principles, policies and compliance.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and time‑management skills, with a commitment to meet SLAs.
• Familiarity with common security tools and technologies.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of SIEM tools, particularly QRadar.
• Proficiency in cybersecurity incident response and management.
• Analytical and problem‑solving abilities for threat detection and mitigation.
• Experience with IDS/IPS, endpoint security solutions and vulnerability‑scanning tools.
