Infrastructure Manager (Outsourced Contract)

About the role

An outsourcing agency is hiring an Infrastructure Manager for a major client in Dubai, UAE. The position is a 1-year, extendable, outsourced contract with immediate joiners or up to 15-30 days' notice. The role covers the administration, management and troubleshooting of the application infrastructure serving Etisalat customers.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot Dell VxRail HCI and VMware operating systems, documenting requests and incidents in ServiceNow.
• Maintain, configure and troubleshoot Microsoft, Linux and VMware-based application servers, and monitor performance and resource usage.
• Plan and carry out OS and software upgrades and patching within the change management cycle.
• Run health checks and risk assessments on Windows, Linux and VMware platforms, and ensure availability in disaster recovery situations.
• Support internal team users and project deployments, and manage the backup environment for production servers, including monitoring and incident correlation.
• Maintain inventory and asset documentation, and resolve critical issues 24/7.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience in a relevant field.
• Hands-on experience managing ManageEngine OpManager and AppManager.
• Recommended certifications: VMware Certified Professional, Dell Certified Professional, Microsoft technical certificates.

• Microsoft products: LDAP, Active Directory, IIS, DFS, TCP/IP, NFS, SAN and direct-attached storage
