Infrastructure Specialist (Charging & Staging)

About the role

The Infrastructure Specialist (Charging & Staging) will plan, deploy, operate and maintain EV charging stations and staging areas that support STAR SERVICES' autonomous delivery fleet in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures that all infrastructure is safe, compliant, reliable and ready for continuous fleet operations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate suitable sites for charging stations and staging facilities.
• Obtain permits, coordinate utility connections and manage approvals with landlords, authorities and service providers.
• Oversee construction, installation, commissioning and hand‑over of infrastructure projects.
• Supervise contractors, vendors and suppliers to meet schedule, budget and quality targets.
• Conduct regular site inspections and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Monitor equipment performance, site uptime and overall reliability.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory and vendor services.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, electrical and municipal regulations.
• Prepare operational and progress reports for management.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Facilities Management or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in infrastructure, facilities management, EV charging, construction or project coordination.
• Fluent in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
• Valid UAE driving licence and personal vehicle.
