Infrastructure Support Engineer (1-year fixed term)

About the role

EDGE Group PJSC, an advanced technology group focused on defence and emerging technologies, is hiring an Infrastructure Support Engineer in Abu Dhabi for a 1-year fixed-term contract. The specialist provides technical support, administration and maintenance of IT infrastructure in classified and restricted environments, ensuring the availability, security and reliability of servers, endpoints, storage, virtualization and supporting infrastructure while complying with applicable security requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot servers, workstations, storage, virtualization platforms and IT infrastructure.
• Provide day-to-day technical support for classified IT systems and users.
• Manage operating systems, system configurations, software deployment, patching and upgrades.
• Implement system hardening, access controls, endpoint security and secure configuration baselines.
• Monitor system health, availability, performance and security events.
• Support backup, recovery, disaster recovery and business continuity activities.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system and infrastructure issues.
• Maintain system documentation, asset inventories, configuration records and operational procedures.
• Support vulnerability remediation, security audits, inspections and accreditation/authorization activities.
• Ensure classified systems and equipment are securely installed, maintained, transferred and decommissioned.
• Coordinate with network and cybersecurity teams and follow strict security, access-control, need-to-know and change management procedures.

Required profile

• At least 4 years of experience in an Infrastructure Support role.
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs, CIS Benchmarks and the NIST SP 800-53 framework.
• English proficiency is required for all roles.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux administration, Active Directory, virtualization, storage, backup and endpoint management.
• Security+, Server+, Microsoft, VMware or equivalent certifications are desirable.
