Installation Manager

About the role

An experienced, results-driven Installation Manager is sought to oversee all installation activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule and in line with technical specifications and quality standards. The role covers coordinating installation teams, managing project resources, monitoring site progress and overseeing system installation, testing and commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, manage and oversee installation activities from project preparation through to completion and handover.
• Develop installation schedules, manpower plans, resource allocation and execution strategies.
• Supervise installation teams, technicians, engineers, subcontractors and site personnel.
• Ensure works comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, project requirements and quality standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineering teams, consultants, clients, suppliers and contractors.
• Monitor progress, productivity, costs and schedules; conduct site inspections and ensure proper workmanship.
• Oversee equipment installation, system integration, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Identify technical issues, risks and delays and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures and manage materials, tools, procurement and inventory.
• Review drawings, method statements and procedures, resolve customer and site issues, and prepare progress reports and technical records.
• Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, quality and team performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in installation, engineering or project execution, including supervisory or managerial experience.
• Proven experience managing installation teams, subcontractors and multiple projects.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of installation processes, equipment, systems and site operations.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and documentation.
• Understanding of testing, commissioning, quality control and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of workplace safety and project risk management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and relevant project management tools.
