Instrumentation & Control Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The Instrumentation & Control Maintenance Engineer will plan, supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for a wide range of instrument and control systems across the plant. The role ensures seamless integration between operations, mechanical and electrical teams to maintain reliable system performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for instrument and control systems, ensuring alignment with operations and other maintenance teams.
• Provide technical support for equipment testing, troubleshooting, start‑up and critical maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Allocate manpower, manage preventive, breakdown and shutdown maintenance plans, and monitor workload and backlog.
• Control material, spares, consumables and tools to guarantee continuous availability.
• Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Support major maintenance, upgrades and obsolescence planning in line with the division’s five‑year business plan.
• Participate in technical bid evaluation, inspect received materials and monitor contractor performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation and Control, Electronics or an equivalent discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of instrumentation and control engineering and maintenance experience in a large industrial environment, preferably oil & gas.
• Proven ability to supervise teams, develop staff and manage budgets.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and HSE regulations.
