Insurance Officer – Finance & Risk

About the role

The Insurance Officer will support Emirates Global Aluminium’s Finance & Corporate Development team in managing the group‑wide reinsurance and risk mitigation programme. The role ensures that insurance policies, claims processes and compliance requirements are handled efficiently to protect the company’s assets.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the procurement, renewal and maintenance of group‑wide insurance policies and related procedures.
• Coordinate insurance requirements for projects and operations, acting as liaison between internal stakeholders and external insurance parties.
• Manage the full claims lifecycle, including notification, data accuracy, workshop facilitation and technical support for loss investigations.
• Prepare and deliver timely MIS and reporting for insurance activities in line with corporate standards.
• Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance with loan covenants and regulatory obligations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of insurance programmes, procedures and controls.
• Adhere to safety, quality and environmental policies throughout all insurance‑related activities.

Required profile

• Experience in insurance operations, risk management or related financial functions.
• Ability to follow established policies, processes and controls.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for claims handling and reporting.

Required skills

• Knowledge of insurance policy administration and claims management.
• Familiarity with MIS reporting and data accuracy.
