About the role
The Interface Manager will lead the planning, coordination and control of all technical and organisational interfaces between the client, PMC team, EPC contractors, licensors, vendors and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle in Abu Dhabi.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Project Interface Management Plan in line with client and project requirements.
- Identify, register, monitor and close internal and external interfaces using an Interface Register.
- Coordinate interfaces across FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and operations.
- Act as the primary focal point for interface matters between client, PMC, EPC contractors, licensors and vendors.
- Organise and lead regular interface coordination meetings and ensure timely follow‑up of actions.
- Ensure multidisciplinary engineering deliverables are coordinated to avoid conflicts and delays.
- Facilitate technical reviews, constructability reviews, HAZOP, HAZID, SIMOPS and design workshops related to interfaces.
- Monitor interface risks, develop mitigation plans and support project planning for schedule risk mitigation.
- Manage interface changes through the approved Management of Change (MOC) process.
- Coordinate brownfield tie‑in activities with operating facilities while ensuring safe execution.
- Work with project controls to track interface milestones and review EPC contractor procedures for compliance.
- Prepare interface status reports, KPI dashboards and management presentations.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, international engineering codes, project specifications and HSE requirements.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation or a related engineering discipline.
- Master’s degree or Project Management certification is an advantage.
- PMP certification is desirable.
Required skills
- Interface Management and use of an Interface Register.
- Project Management and risk mitigation techniques.
- Management of Change (MOC) processes.
- Conducting HAZOP, HAZID, SIMOPS and constructability reviews.
- Coordination of multidisciplinary engineering disciplines (process, mechanical, piping, civil, structural, electrical, instrumentation, telecom, HSE).
- Compliance with ADNOC standards and international engineering codes.
