Internal Audit Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Internal Audit Manager to join the global audit function of a leading shipping and logistics company based in Dubai. The role offers extensive exposure to international operations and senior leadership, supporting the Executive Board through risk‑based audits, investigations and advisory projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute complex, risk‑based internal audit assignments across diverse business functions.
• Identify key risks, control weaknesses and opportunities for operational improvement.
• Manage audit engagements from planning through reporting and follow‑up.
• Present audit findings and practical recommendations to senior management.
• Produce clear, concise, high‑quality audit reports.
• Monitor implementation of agreed actions with business stakeholders.
• Evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of the internal control environment.
• Support advisory engagements and contribute to annual audit planning.
• Conduct confidential investigations into allegations of irregularities when required.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in internal audit, preferably within shipping, logistics, heavy industry or a related sector.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a solid understanding of complex business processes.
• Proven experience leading audit engagements and managing multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, confident presenting to senior management.
• Collaborative, proactive and commercially minded attitude.
• Fluency in English; additional languages such as Arabic, French or Portuguese are a plus.
• Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 30%).
